The desire and vision to combine science and economy has led to new innovative products in the field of water treatment and recycling (MBR + Wate(R)ecycling technology), in the field of chemical recycling of plastic and textile waste to obtain secondary raw materials and in the field of healthy living, based on wearable sensor systems that are connected to mobile phones and provide continuous information about the environment and ourselves (SmartLiving®).
IOS has experience in the field of management and participation in research and development projects, both within national and international consortiums. The main focus of the company, which has remained unchanged since 2006, is: “Creating new knowledge for designing innovative products”.
Their role in PESCO-UP
IOS shoulders the responsibility of colour and textile finishing removal and elastane removal from pure textiles (CEL and PES) as well as textile blends (PES/CEL). Additionally, IOS plays a crucial role in formulating a strategy for the handling of effluents and filtrates.
IOS also focuses on upscaling the most promising textile purification technologies, demonstrating increased re-use potential for classified textile fractions (PES, PU, CEL) within the context of circular textiles. Furthermore, IOS actively engages in dissemination, exploitation, and fostering market entrance activities, highlighting its integral role in promoting the project's outcomes and market impact.
